Charles William Knapton Sr. Dundee: Charles William Knapton Sr., age 61, of Dundee, NY passed away on Tuesday January 13, 2026 at Geneva General Hospital, in Geneva, N.Y. There are no prior calling hours; a Celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday January 24 at the Lakeland Mennonite Church, Rock Stream Rd., Rock Stream with Pastor Dale Eby officiating. Charles was born March 30, 1964 in Penn Yan, NY, one of 4 sons of Roy W. and Charlotte M. (Spears) Knapton. Diagnosed with CMTD at the age of 5; 'Chuck' never let his genetic disease discourage him from living his life in a positive way. He graduated from Penn Yan Academy in 1983, and on June 30, 1984 he married his high school sweetheart Kimberly Sue Andrews in his parent's front lawn in Himrod, NY. A loving father to his three sons, Chuck always enjoyed his family time whether it be watching movies, or cheering on sports. He loved professional wrestling, NASCAR races, cheering for his hero's #3 Dale Earnhardt Sr., and then his son Dale Jr. When it was football season he rooting for Tom Brady and the Patriots, and when Tom switched to the Buccaneers so did Charlie. An experience that made him so happy, was getting to go to a Trace Adkins concert with the love of his life Kimberly. He is loved and will be forever missed by his wife of 41 years, Kimberly Sue Knapton at home; 3 sons Gregory James Knapton, and Charles Wm. (Elaine) Knapton Jr. both of Dundee, Kevin M. Knapton of Penn Yan; 3 grandchildren; 2 sisters Sheryel Knapton of Penn Yan, and Sandra (Richard) Howell-Frank of Ovid; along with several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by 3 brothers Lyman, David, and Frank Knapton; 2 sisters Diana Knapton and Donna Johnson; a niece Angela Druker, and her son, great nephew Chad Druker II; and a stillborn grandson Dakota James Knapton.
