Cedar B. Riehl Penn Yan: Cedar B. Riehl, 15 months, of Penn Yan, NY passed away peacefully at his home on Monday January 20, 2025. Cedar was born on October 17, 2023 in Penn Yan, the only child of Jaydon K. Riehl and Janaya K. (Reed) Riehl. In addition to his parents, Cedar is survived by maternal grandparents, Daniel and Nancy (Good) Reed, of Towanda, PA; paternal grandparents, Ken and Vivian (Miller) Riehl, of Dundee, NY; Cedar is also survived by aunts, uncles, and a cousin. Cedar was diagnosed at six weeks old with a mitochondrial disorder. For the following few months, we enjoyed his bright blue eyes, ready smile, and baby conversations. Early May, Cedar started to regress followed by two hospital stays. The last five months, we had the privilege of caring for Cedar at home through ups and downs. We find comfort in knowing that Cedar is running the streets of Heaven in his new body!
