Barbara J. LaBarr Dundee: Barbara J. "Bobbie" LaBarr, age 79, of Dundee, NY passed away peacefully in her sleep in the comfort of her home with her husband at her side on Tuesday November 30, 2021. There will be no prior calling hours. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday (Dec. 11) at the Penn Yan Assembly of God Church, 3646 State Route 14A, Penn Yan, NY; with her son Rev. Russell T LaBarr officiating. The family will greet everyone during a Celebration of Her Life fellowship and reception following the service. Penn Yan, NY 14527) Barbara was born March 16, 1942 in Utica, NY, the daughter of the late Thomas P. and Jane M. (Myers) McOwen. On August 24, 1963 in Utica, NY she married Russell M. LaBarr. A loving wife, mother, and grandma, who enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts, crocheting, and knitting. Mrs. LaBarr was formerly a very active member of the Glen Baptist Church; more recently attending the Penn Yan Assembly of God. She is loved and will be dearly missed by her husband of 58 years Russell M. LaBarr at home; 3 sons David R. (Kathleen) LaBarr of Montour Falls, NY, Timothy P. LaBarr of Dresden, NY, Russell T. (Marjorie) LaBarr of Himrod, NY; 10 grandchildren Elizabeth, Benjamin, Peter, Evelyn, Joel, Ashley, Ezra, Lilliana, Suzanna, and Azalea; 6 great grandchildren Anna, Stephen, Wesley, Dylan, Michael, and Ryan, all whom she adored and cherished. Four, sisters Patricia Crandall, Sally Zogby, and Kathy (David) Carpinella, all of the Utica, NY area, Mary Jan "MJ" (Doug) Clancey of Dundee; and 1 brother Thomas (Mary Ann) McOwen also of the Utica area, along with numerous dear nieces and nephews.
