Adrienne Kimberly Van Houten Branchport/Dundee: Adrienne Kimberly Smith Van Houten, age 35, of Branchport, NY passed away Friday September 29, 2017 at F. F. Thompson Memorial Hospital, in Canandaigua, N.Y. after a long courageous battle with cancer. Friends are invited to calling hours from 5:00 - 8:00 pm Thursday (Oct. 5) at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee; where her funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday (Oct. 6) with Pastor Celin Wood officiating. Adrienne was born April 9, 1982 in Geneva, NY, the daughter of Eugene W. and Kimberly K DeWitt Smith. On June 15, 2013 in Branchport, N.Y. she married Justin Michael Van Houten. A lifelong area resident and loving mother of three sons, she would sooner call herself a "Starving Artist" than a homemaker. She loved libraries, craved books and reading, religiously watched "Jeopardy", enjoyed gardening, but her true passion was drawing and painting, which she "Shined" at. She is loved and will be forever missed by her husband of 5 years, best friend of 12 years Justin Michael Van Houten; her children Jack Grabski (13) and his sister whom she loved as her own daughter Lily Grabski, son Cassidy Van Houten (11), and Alexander Van Houten (7); her parents Gene W. and Kim K Smith of Dundee; a brother Jason W. (Amy Goulding) Smith of North Carolina; paternal grandmother Norma G. Shepardson; maternal grandparents Harold & Neva DeWitt all of Dundee; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws; and countless friends many of whom she considered second family; and her furry companion Dutcher.
