Aaron M. Zimmerman Sr. Dundee: Aaron M. Zimmerman Sr., age 85 years, 8 months and 5 days, of Route 230 in Dundee, NY, died Thursday April 6, 2023 in the comfort of his own home. Friends are invited to calling hours from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday (Apr. 10) at the home, of Harlan & Ella Stauffer 2392 Route 230 Dundee. His funeral service will be held at 9:30 am Tuesday (Apr. 11) at the Gravel Run Old Order Mennonite Church, Ray Crosby Rd., Dundee, NY with Bishop Ronald Ringler officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining Church Cemetery. Aaron was born August 1, 1937 in New Holland, PA, the son of the late David G. and Hettie N. Martin Zimmerman Sr. He married the former Ada M. Burkholder who passed away on May 13, 2022. A self-employed farmer, he was a member of the Old Order Mennonite Church. He is survived by 12 children, Noah (Bertha) Zimmerman, Alma (wife of the late Melvin) Burkholder, David (Edna) Zimmerman, Martha (Mahlon) Hoover, Edward (Elva) Zimmerman, Ada Mae (Edward) Nolt, Ella (Harlan) Stauffer, Aaron (Dorcas) Zimmerman Jr., Allen (Mary) Zimmerman, Alice (Joel) Weaver, Anna (James) Fox, and Esther (Floyd) Zimmerman; 101 grandchildren; 127 great grandchildren; 2 brothers Noah (Lizzie) Zimmerman & Daniel (Erla) Zimmerman; a sister Ella wife of Ammon Martin; along with countless nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 6 brothers, Martin, John, David Jr., Jacob, Elam, and Joseph Zimmerman; and a sister Katie wife of Mahlon Zimmerman; and numerous inlaws.
