Obituary of Eugene T. Moskal

Eugene T. "Gene" Moskal Dundee: Eugene T. "Gene" Moskal, age 85, of Dundee, NY passed away unexpectedly on Sunday December 13, 2015 at Schuyler Hospital, in Montour Falls, N.Y. Honoring his wishes there were no calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am Tuesday (Dec. 15) at St Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church, in Watkins Glen with Father Steve Lape officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in Hillside Cemetery, Dundee. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church, 905 North Decatur St. Watkins Glen, NY 14891. Eugene was born March 7, 1930 in Passaic, New Jersey; the eldest son of the late Frank P. and Mary Gorecki Moskal Sr. He has lived locally since the 1940's. On July 6, 1963 in St. Mary's Church, in Bath, NY he married the former Arlene R. Fox. He was employed as a Quality Control Inspector for 32 years by Dresser-Rand, in Painted Post, NY; retiring in 1995. Mr. Moskal was a past secretary for the Tyrone Fire Dept., had run for Town Supervisor of Tyrone, and was a real "Working Man", who enjoyed Polka dancing and hunting in his younger years. He is loved and will be missed by his wife of 52 years Arlene R. Moskal at home; 2 daughters Barbara L. (Calvin) Switzer of Hillsdale, NJ, Dawn M. (Jim) Chaplain of Hewitt, NJ; a son Mark E. (Jannica) Moskal of Watkins Glen; 6 grandchildren; 2 brothers Frank R. (Patricia) Moskal Jr. of Dundee, Bill Moskal of Lansdowne, PA; 2 sisters Joan L. Moskal and Catherine A. Moskal both of Dundee; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother Raymond J. Moskal on Aug. 24, 2015.
